Competition to revive the Mullassery Canal in Kochi, India. The images below show the submission by a group of students from the Liveable Urban Studio in the Welsh School of Architecture, alongside students from the School of Planning and Architecture New Delhi as well as members of the Indian Institute of Architects Cochin.
The scheme looked to making the canal edge an ecological corridor that led to a floodable wetland near the KSRTC Bus Stand which would encourage Kochi's ecology to thrive. Additionally, means of water purification, safety and connectivity were themes that were implemented throughout the proposal.
