Parisha Patel
Architect ARB | RIBA | WELL AP

My name is Parisha Patel, mostly known as Pari and I am a fully qualified Architect in the UK (ARB), a member of the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) and I am a WELL Accredited Professional. I am currently employed at Scott Brownrigg Ltd in their Guildford studio.

As a bit of a background, I was born in the UK but grew up in Southern-Central Africa in Zambia until I returned to the UK for my tertiary education. I completed my undergraduate degree in architecture at the Welsh School of Architecture (Cardiff University) in 2018 and continued on to study my Master's degree in architecture where I spent the first year working at a design firm called LOT-EK in New York City, USA, before returning to Cardiff for my final year of Master's (completed in 2020).

I began working at Scott Brownrigg in their Cardiff studio in 2021, when I also started my Part 3 course (Postgraduate Diploma in Architecture) at the Welsh School of Architecture, run by Professor Sarah Lupton and Manos Stellakis. In 2022, I transferred to Scott Brownrigg's Guildford Studio and have been working there ever since. I have recently completed my Part 3 studies (in June 2023) with Distinction, being awarded the Stanley Cox Prize for Best Overall Performance at Diploma Level, shared with Jacques Doody and Jack Whitehead. Since then, I have been invited by Professor Sarah Lupton and Manos Stellakis to tutor on the course, which I had begun doing in the 2023 Autumn/Winter Semester.

I have worked on a range of projects of varying sizes and complexity, in different sectors, both at LOT-EK and Scott Brownrigg. The sectors I have worked in include Masterplanning, Residential/Mixed-use, Commercial, Defence, Business space, Advanced technologies, Digital, culture, media and sports, and Event/Exhibition space.

Outside of the studio, I have interests in swimming, golf, cricket, running, travelling, hiking, photography, board games and pool. Most Sundays over the summer months, you can find me playing cricket with my teammates at UOHCC with whom I have won both the Bowling trophy and Golf trophy for two consecutive seasons (2022 and 2023).

I have a particular interest in design for health and well-being and I thrive in environments where I am continuously learning. I have recently earned my WELL AP credentials (April 2024).
